If you are coming into Charles De Gaulle all you have to do is go down stairs and catch the train to Grenoble, provided you have a train ticket.
You can purchase a train ticket at the station or once you are on the train from the conductor, each of these will come at a surcharge and at the highest rate.
I recommend that you purchase a Euro Rail Pass. You will have to buy it early and have it mailed to you in the states.

If you are only doing my tour and home or back to Paris for the PBP a two day pass will do you. If you plan on staying and traveling around France you may need more days.
each ticket will allow you unlimited travel on each day of the pass as long as it is with end one month.
If you plan on traveling to other countries go to the Main Menu and pick a pass that will meet your needs.
Once you get to Grenoble
As you get off the train in Grenoble you are going to go across the street and catch the light rail to Denis Papin. After six stops you will get off at Mounier, this station is just in front of our hotel.
